Atlanta is a city with a comfortable climate for outdoor concerts and also has many indoor concert venues.
If you want to attend concerts in Atlanta, the list of live music venues I've prepared for you, based on visitor reviews, will come in handy.

1. The Masquerade - Purgatory - Atlanta, GA

Located at 695 North Avenue in Atlanta, the Dupre Excelsior Mill, may have been built as early as 1890 by DuPre Manufacturing Company. However, the mill fails to appear on Atlanta city maps in 1892 and 1899, which both show the property as vacant. Wikipedia

The Masquerade Reviews:

  • I can only attest to Heaven at The Masquerade, but this place is the holy grail of concert venues. It's spacious, clean, and I cannot adequately express just how amazing the bathrooms are! They're clean, all doors close and lock, it's well lit, fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. The most amazing thing was there was NEVER a line out the door for the women's bathroom (like there is at every other venue).
  • Great indoor concert venue! Hell has a good bar, good speakers, decent bathroom, and some upstairs viewing area. No seats on the main level, so we can pack in close for the headliner. They have some great bands lined up this year! Looks like I'll be back in April for another metal concert.
  • First visiting after they moved. Never knew this place existed downtown but the venue was good. There was two coolers of free water in the back which I appreciated so much!! The bar never got too crowded which was good. There was one obnoxious kid in the crowd and I told security about him. They watched him for a while and asked him to leave the crowd. Which I also appreciated so much! He was making it hard to enjoy the DJ on stage....
  • Hoping to see them open again before too long! Countless memories of this place. (Source)

City Winery Reviews:

  • Smaller venue for great shows. Good food and wines. Service is excellent There is not a bad seat in the house, but my favorite is the mezzanine.
  • First time visiting. The atmosphere is nice, very calming. Not a bad view in the spot. I didn’t try any drinks but I’ll be sure to when I return! Elle Varner was EVERYTHING❤️
  • Absolutely beautiful venue and facility during my first visit ever, must return! Great acts coming, including the concert I attended, Peter White Christmas. Staff and management in the restaurant were phenomenal, particularly Alejandro! Unfortunately, the male server downstairs with the hat on, during the concert, was very dry and unfriendly... Borderline rude. Was a damper on our evening. Otherwise a wonderful experience!
  • I love the City Winery atmosphere. They are located in various states (I've been to a few), and they keep the vibe consistent. The ATL venue is beautiful and classy, and truly enjoyable.  I wish the food menu was more realistic and tasty, but ultimately it's all good. Lovely place and excellent concerts. (Source)

Buckhead Theatre Reviews:

  • We went here to see a punk rock show. It was fun! Love the slanted floors, great for short people like myself. Bartender was friendly and I tried a new beer that they had on tap -- Slapfight IPA. It was yummy! Non-smoking venue with an alley outside for smokers. A good time was had by all.
  • I've been to plenty of concerts in Atlanta, but the Beautiful Oblivion tour was my first time at Buckhead Theatre. Hands down one of my favorite venues to have visited. My brother, sister, and I had a PHENOMENAL time. It's in a great (and safe) location...we were able to walk there from our hotel. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was SO GOOD! There was a lady bartender at the bar to the right first thing when you walk in that took very good care of us, so we kept going back to get drinks from only her! I can't remember her name, but she's AMAZING! All in all, the venue is great and can't wait to go to more concerts there.
  • Nice sized venue with a cool atmosphere. If you are a fan of squeezing in and getting to know your neighbor, then you'll enjoy the general admission. But may I recommend doing the upgrade for the balcony seats and lounge.......worth every penny. (Source)

Coca-Cola Roxy Reviews:

  • I'd give this place 5 stars if it wasn't in such a nutty location. A concert venue next to a stadium makes for some terrible experiences with parking when the act you are going to see is on a game night. Other than that, it was great. It's clean and has good acoustics (or the act was mixed exceptionally well).
  • A great concert venue with two levels (stage level and balcony level) and an extra lounge. The balcony has small tables around the edge giving a great view and a place to hold the bar fare and drinks. Both levels are close enough to have great views and the acoustics are good without having to be too loud. Bar service is excellent with bars on each side and on both levels. I recommend getting lounge access to have a comfortable place to sit and hangout with a group. Overall, a great place and I can’t wait to come back!
  • While the location is ideal and the shows are great, the Roxy has some catching up to do On their facilities. We went opening night a few years ago to see Glass Animals (in tandem with Q100’s bday bash). Every single toilet in the building was backed up and the restrooms flooded. The next show we saw was Death Cab... still not impressed by the facilities and the bar(s) had a consistent line. I don’t want to spend a concert standing in line... (Source)

Tabernacle Reviews:

  • It’s the only venue like it in the city with so much history! I love playing here opening for artists and doing private events in the ballroom below the main stage. If you love concerts, the views are awesome here with 3 levels. Not to mention how many films and movies that have been filmed here. A true remnant from a different era.
  • The Tabernacle is a nice place to see concerts. It has lots of restrooms and are kept clean for the most part. There are multiple levels upstairs to see a performance, there is no elevator from what I could see, but I could be mistaken. There are bars on each level to get a drink, but if you want to go the restroom you have to go all the way downstairs and depending on where your seat is, it can be a long way down. Other than that, I've seen about three concerts here and I haven't been disappointed. I've really enjoyed the experiences this place has provided to make the night fun and exciting.
  • Very nice venue. I've been here several times and I've always had a great experience. It looks like they moved the restrooms downstairs in the bar area in the basement. You can get food down there. They have nice sitting areas and its clean. Great location too. Within walking distance from the SkyWheel and a great place to catch concerts. You have a good view of the stage no matter where you stand or sit at. (Source)

Terminal West Reviews:

  • The place was great and very clean. It would help if the guests wouldn't throw trash in the rain gutters from the smoking area. The staff are all very nice and the concerts are great. Especially if you are looking for smaller style venues vs big auditorium style concerts.
  • This is a great venue! Very intimate for the performance and security was great. The only complaint I have is that it took way to long to get out of the parking structure for a venue this size.
  • We had a great time at a concert here! It was a unique and small venue that was a blast to be at! The bar had a great variety of canned beers, and the prices were high but not unreasonable. Would definitely recommend going to a show here! (Source)

  • I've loved seeing concerts at the Variety Playhouse for decades, and now that it is remodeled, it is even better. The bartenders are very quick to serve and friendly. It's a fabulous place to see a show.

Center Stage Theater Reviews:

  • I love this venue when going to see some of my favorite artists. It’s not too big or too small and always gives you an intimate show. I really like how GENADM gives you the option to sit or stand and the crowd is never outrageous. Staff and security are super friendly and helpful as well. My only complaint is the parking deck. There is only one exit and it is such a hassle to leave after the shows. Everyone is literally stuck and then when you get closer to the exit, there’s another ramp below with people trying to come up. I would suggest not parking there if you’re not patient.
  • Favorite venue in the ATL. Not a bad seat. Relaxing and close up. Or you can go to floor to dance/ take pix. And Soul asylum was awesome as ever. And local H was new to me, but LOVED them, too.
  • This was my first time there. Really cool venue. The way the parking deck is kind of crazy, especially the exit. It was decently priced for the area though. We'll definitely be back. (Source)

State Farm Arena Reviews:

  • I recently visited the State Farm Arena for a TOOL concert. I hadn't been to this arena since it had been redone and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Parking wasn't the easiest thing and was rather pricey at $20. Honestly the lot didn't feel super secure either, especially toward the back. I parked at the gulch and to get to the entrance you have to take like...8 or 10 flights of stairs so keep that in mind. Entering the venue was super easy and quick.
  • A mecca venue for entertainment of sports, live music and more!! The arena has convenient access from inside CNN Center or straight off of Marta Transit. All the employees-from the greeters at the gates, ticketing, and security- to the bartenders- to the cleaning staff and ushers- Everyone provides outstanding service with a smile and pleasing personalities!
  • Nothing better to see a Dead and Company Concert!! Nice seating and good acoustics. Wish the pricing was better but times are different than they were 20 to 30 yrs ago. What can you say, any place is a good place to see the Dead!! (Source)

Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park Reviews:

  • I always enjoy shows here, even though they seem to have to end before 11 PM. I get why, it is nestled in the apparent middle of several subdivisions and nice houses, so noise ordinances will be strict. It's a little tough to navigate the roads surrounding the area, so early arrival and late departure is suggested (or the patience to sit for a bit in traffic)
  • Great outdoor venue with great free parking unless you're not toooo bright and try to get there 30 minutes before they start playing! Haha
Plenty of drink and eat options and even chair rental if you want!
    highly recommend
  • We went to see Charlie Wilson Friday night and had a great time! We will be back! Sound and lighting was great! Venue is nice and we got there about 45 min early to make sure we had a close parking spot for $25. Open cooler option is perfect, so you can bring your own wine and food! Hopefully we can catch Maxwell's concert there this month! (Source)
