House of Blues Cleveland Reviews:

  • I always enjoy myself at this venue. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's a VIP area of you want to pay for a table. It's just the right size for you to be able to get close to the bands.
  • Great place to see a show!! Plenty to do nearby while you wait for your show, or head upstairs for some good food and friendly times. The only reason for a 4 star and not a 5 was the price of the drinks. 11$ for a beer and 15$+ for a mixed... A bit steep, but somewhat understandable. Still knocks that 1 star off for me though.
  • The dinner package is so reasonable. Once you pay for the dinner package you get $35 in food and drinks(alcohol too) at the restaurant. You eat dinner before & they send a host to take you to your own table at the show. Great service. We definitely want to do it again. (Source)

Agora Theatre Reviews:

  • Overall good venue. The acoustics are above average but do tend to produce some reverberation and a slight tinny sound at higher volumes. I have no experience for anything other than music shows here so I can't comment on any other types of entertainment. Staff is always excellent! Easy to access and has sufficient parking at a decent price.
  • The Cleveland Agora is a great place to see some of the smaller and more affordable music tours that come to town. My wife and I have gone to 5 different concerts here, and the sound and seating was always great! After the concert, there are also tons of places downtown to get a bite to eat. The parking is also very convenient, and right behind the venue.
  • The Agora was a truly Amazing host! They Completely blocked off both levels of Suite B for us. They also had security all entrances. The security team was absolutely great. They were all very professional and also very polite to all of the concert goers. They staff was also attentive to keeping our space clean. The photographer was also very polite and respectful. And a huge thank you to I believe it was Chris for setting it all up and making everything possible especially kinda last minute! Big thank you to all you such a great night we will definitely be back thank you! (Source)

Severance Hall Reviews:

  • We visited Severance Hall for a high school invitational concert. Parking was easy. If you park if their garage, you never have to go outside which is great for bad weather. The architecture of the facility and history was amazing. The auditorium was gorgeous. The acoustics in this place built in the early 1930's were very impressive. Our high school band sounded amazing. Every instrument stood out and the sound surrounded the listener, not one sided like a typical box that schools typically have. I definitely need to visit again.
  • The venerable Cleveland Orchestra is consistently rated among the top five ensembles worldwide, and their winter home is their equal. From lobby to lounge to auditorium this Art Deco fantasy is a delight for the eyes. With its superb acoustics it is also a marvel for the ears. If you're coming for a matinee concert be sure to arrive a little early and take a stroll around the beautifully landscaped Wade lagoon across the street.
  • Absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed a wonderful concert at this historic building. The architecture is amazing. Would recommend visiting even if you aren't there for a show. Very interesting Cleveland landmark. (Source)

Grog Shop Reviews:

  • Small, close quarters. The people are pretty laid back. Depends on whose performing. Great talent on that stage. You won't be disappointed. It's almost like the basement where your band is making the their next big hit. Great for local bands and up and coming talent. As well as people who just want to put on a great show with cool people.
  • Pretty nice place here. The bands that were up were pretty good and the setup and atmosphere was very chill. I'd definitely come back again for more gigs and to get to learn about more bands and stuff. It's nice overall
  • The Grog is so cozy. It's a great blend of hipster vibes, trendy beer, and great music. I love going to a packed show there and having the older guy in the backwards hat sift through the crowd to find underage drinkers. It's always a fun time when you get to see him kick some teeny bopper out! (Source)

Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica (formerly Nautica Pavilion) Reviews:

  • This is an absolutely awesome venue! Right on the water and when the weather is warm there’s a cool breeze to go along with the even cooler view. The tickets were fairly priced but they are worth more due to the picturesque scene. There’s plenty of parking close by and some lots involve a decent walk but as I mentioned before... the view makes everything worth it.
  • Such a beautiful venue, and the staff was utterly amazing. Everyone contributed to you having a wonderful time, the view was breath taking, and the music was pitch perfect. I would come back and see more shows at this specific location based on those key points alone. The sun doesn't really beat down on you, and you're close to the water so there's always a nice breeze. Often you can see boats passing by and alot of tourists, very beautiful place. Check it out.
  • Great venue, not a bad seat in the house. Beautiful view of the city and river. Seats aren't the most comfortable, but you can bring a cushion. Parking is easy when you get there and well directed when leaving. (Source)

  • Great for hosting smaller events/ concerts. The VIP area is nice and over looks the entire venue with a separate bar, service was quick drinks were great. Parking was a block or 2 away. There is a parking lot across the street but isn't always open or is reserved by another building or event.
  • Always a classic venue to attend. Minimal to zero seating so you have to enjoy the show. Mosh pits are always a plus. Iconic place to see a show as it brings back memories from younger years
  • Had a great time! Great music, decent drinks and a clean bathroom. What more could you want?! (Source)

Beachland Ballroom Reviews:

  • I saw a great band called The Awakening. The venue is small but has that old time artsy feel. I wish there was more seating or more room at the bar. The bartenders worked really hard but it was a wait for a drink throughout the night. Space is a premium at this place
  • Good venue great place to chill. They have a decent selection of beer. I picked up their wrap with turkey, egg and, bacon and it was definitely yummy in my tummy!
  • A definite CLE classic band place that always satisfies! Multiple rooms, comfy size venue. I've seen so many awesome bands here I've lost count. A chance to get up close and personal with your idols. (Source)

8. Cain Park - Cleveland Heights, OH

Cain Park - Cleveland Heights, OH

There's nothing quite like Cain Park west of the river. During its summer-long season, you can sit in the airy, intimate Evans Amphitheater or, better yet, recline on your own blanket on the grassy slope that climbs gently upward from the theater while you watch local dance troupes cavort and leap or lose yourself in live concerts of folk, jazz, klezmer, blues, bluegrass, Latin and a little bit of everything else by local and national acts. Cain Park also features 22 acres of bike and jogging paths, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a skate park and picnic tables and pavilions - but it's eclectic music under the stars that really makes it unique.

Address: 14591 Superior Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118, United States (Directions)
Phone: +1 216-371-3000

Cain Park Reviews:

  • Attended a concert at the Evans Amphitheater here. The entry way consisted of an open atrium and ticket booth, with red brick and green vines/foliage as the exterior decor. Unfortunately it smelled of sewage just outside of the gate to the venue. The bathrooms are average size and could be a little bit better maintained. The main part of the venue consisted of theater seating on white, fold out, plastic chairs. There is ample room in the back for lawn seating. The eatery, called the Cain Park Grill, was priced as expected for concessions. Fries were heavily salted but beef hot dog was great. Not all condiments were full at the opening of the grill for the night, so I’m sure the large rush of customers had a little trouble with consuming an adequate amount of ketchup or mustard. The overall decor of the actual theater was beautiful! This is a one of a kind venue, and India. Arie that night mentioned her love for the venue as well.
  • Great outdoor venue to see a show. It is old and charming. The park has new tennis courts and a splash pad for the kids. Parking can be challenging, but just park on the street.
  • This is a nice park. It has a basketball court, tennis court, a play area and splash plad. Parking is an issue - we were able to find only street parking for this park and so the location that Google directs you is not entirely convenient. Other than parking, this is an excellent park. Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse Reviews:

  • I covered games in this building 15 years ago and barely recognized it after the makeover. It's like learning a new arena all over, but in the best way possible. Now to get some talent with the teams that call it home to come back more often than once every two years...
  • Me and 4 members of my family went to watch Disney on Ice in one of the private suites. We had a total blast and my little brother really enjoyed it. Other than the show being spectacular, staff was incredibly inviting and nice. They were super organized in the keeping the crowd flow going, and directing us to the correct places after we bypassed security which kept things timely. We enjoyed the food and the customer service was spectacular. I can’t wait to come back for other concerts, games, and shows!
  • The updates to this arena is just phenomenal. The arena seating and the club section makes it worth the admission. I remember how the Guns and the Q looked like but Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse made the most to this update. The indoor updates are just so eye opening and appealing. If you haven't been since update....you have to see it!!!!! (Source)

  • Cleveland's Playhouse Square is a jewel. From the exceptional shows to the amazing staff and volunteers, it is truly an experience for everyone.
  • We went to see the play Lion King. It was great! The baboon made the show. Her singing was phenomenal. The play closely follows the movie. The seats are a little tight for a tall person. But all in all an Awesome outing. (Source)

  • Great place for concerts. Always enjoy myself every time I visit.  We have been to the Music Box Supper Club upstairs for concerts and dinner a few times.  We have been downstairs at the Rusty Anchor for concerts & Sunday Brunch several times. The food and service are great, the concerts are always fantastic, the atmosphere is phenomenal.  This place is right on the river. So much fun. I LOVE it.
  • Oh my gosh this place was beautiful!! The view was gorgeous and the interior was so elegant, I loved it! Easy access to parking and lots of bars withing walking distance. The drink selection was good and they serve food, although I did not order food. Came here to see a band play and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend.
