Saint Andrews Hall Reviews:

  • Always a great time. Been going here for 30 years (wow, how did that happen?) Beautiful venue, love the updates without losing the history of the place. Top notch staff and service, the sound is great, prices aren't over the top, what more could you ask for?
  • This venue was perfect. If you want a relatively close view of your band or act you are seeing all while having a good drink or two? This is the place for you. I was able to see one of my favorite bands here and the experience was worth the time and money to go. 100% will see shows here again. Plus the staff was super awesome as well.
  • The concerts I've gone to so far have been in Saint Andrew's hall, and even though the first one I went to was last year, I recently went to 2 concerts in February and had a blast, obviously I'm not 21 yet so I can't drink anything but soda and water but the deals they have for the food and drinks are pretty decent, not too bad. The speakers that dangle next to the stage always have an amazing sound and will cause the floor to shake so be wary if you get sick from the constant vibrating of the ground lol and the venue in itself is pretty large, with the upstairs sitting areas. Bar prices were very reasonable for a concert venue. General admission standing room only. The few seats are for disabled guests. Had a great time!
  • When here for the first time to see Bishop Briggs, I had a great time! Staff was great, music and visuals were awesome, drinks were good and not as pricey as a lot of the other venues. I will definitely come back to catch another show here sometime!
  • Absolutely incredible. We saw a show a few months ago. And the security there made everyone feel so wonderful. At the end of thw show they ended up passing out six cases of water to the crowd. Its a good intimate venue and i would 100% recommend shows there. (Source)

  • I love coming to this venue. Staff are so polite and accommodating. Got an instant VIP upgrade. Free would have been nice but I had to pay. Still a decent price. Our server Tatiana was awesome, as well. Can't say enough about her. All staff that I passed on the way out said thanks for coming and to have a great night. They should be commended for that. You just don't get that anymore. Thanks for everything.
  • This venue gets five stars. I've never been to a venue where I didn't have to wait for a beer or in line at a bathroom. Great views from anywhere in the house. Hope to see more bands here someday!
  • Great venue to see a show. The staff is always friendly helpful and attentive. The acoustics are also amazin . All the architectural elements add to the appeal of the classic venue. I love it when my favorite bands play here. Looking forward to another great year off shows!!!! (Source)

  • I came here on a weeknight evening for the first time. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra was brilliant! The Hall was smaller than I expected but very elegant and clean nonetheless. We sat in the back of the main floor and could see the orchestra very well - from the looks of it, I think every seat has an excellent view. The acoustics of the hall were great as well. It is definitely worth a trip and I will be back for sure!
  • One of the absolute best venues for live music in the Detroit Area. The orchestra is phenomenal and they have amazing shows year around.
  • The Detroit Symphony Hall is simply fabulous! The acoustics are spot on and the orchestra players are amazing performers. The atmosphere was quite festive and Santa himself made a appearance! The Holiday show also featured two high school choirs and a lovely and gifted female singer to add to the festivities. All-in-all, quite a festive time for all in the lovely hall (which is celebrating its centennial this year by the way!). I can't wait to attend my next performance! (Source)

  • A very fun venue. Lots of great places to eat, although plan on spending about $20 per person. All seats offer a great view of the arena. Cup holders make an excellent addition to the seats. A really fun place to watch a game.
  • First time there, my son and I went for a hockey game. We had a good time, met a very nice woman who after talking for a few minutes surprised us after 1st period with a seat upgrade. Very surprised and grateful. She also gave us a few sovereigns each. She really went above and beyond. Unfortunately we did not get her name. It was a great night.
  • We went to "Kid Rock" and had a very good meal. The drinks were good, and affordable. Our server Marvin was the best. Nice, smiled, efficient & all around gave us good service. Then we watched the Red Wings game. The bathrooms were clean, along w/ the stadium. I don't think there was a bad place to sit. There was a Jumbo Tron screen so you really could get in on the action. • What a great spot! I can’t believe it took so long to find this gem! Recently renamed chene park ... now Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre is a wonderful venue. Great for outdoor concerts and shows. The views of the river and the people who pull up on boats to watch concerts make this an electric place to watch a show! The concessions are also top notch they have some truly fantastic chicken wings!
  • I love this venue. Every seat is great. A nice vibe an atmosphere! Food an drinks are sold at every event. Great acoustics for any event. A nice view of the water an boats especially on a warm summer night with music. This venue is perfect for any event! You will enjoy the experience!
  • I love this venue. Yet, the sound is not always great. I do not know what to attribute it to. Some artist, sound great and others not. Additionally, the sound of the artist ALWAYS sounds better than in the amphitheatre. (Source)

El Club Reviews:

  • Small, fun club for live music or just hanging out. Cool patio in back, usually a food truck, decent bar, and pretty good acoustics for shows. Just plan on tight confines, and parking can get a bit weird if you're not early. Won't hold that against them, its still a blast for live shows, always a wild selection of bands from all over.
  • Lovely venue! Great prices! This was one of my favorite concert experiences! I really enjoyed seeing Hellogoodbye here and the intimate environment really offered a great experience that I will never forget. A great place to be at & I would love to see more artists here
  • Average urban experience. Watered down drinks. Lots of ice. Good headliners for shows. Shoulder to shoulder space like sardines. Wear comfortable shoes rather you’re male or female. Parking lot has no attendant, either that or street level parking. (Source)

  • I went to see a show, it was wonderful. The only problem was I felt old. I was surprised to find out that young people do not drink wine, nor do they sit at the club. I did enjoy the DJ.
  • What I like about this venue:
Great pizza as soon as you walk through the doors.
    Bowling.
    Bathrooms are much improved.
Not a bad seat (well, it’s mostly standing room ) in the house.
Nice rooftop deck for some fresh air or to cool off.
The biggest surprise was how nice the staff was tonight. Everybody from security at the door, to ticket people, to people bussing tables were really very polite and enjoyable! How many other Detroit “clubs” can say that!?
  • Always a fun time with great music upstairs and a bar, bowling alley and food downstairs. I go here frequently as they sell tickets for reasonable prices. Will be going back in the future! (Source)

  • A beautiful venue with tons of character. Any opportunity you have to go here ...try to take it. And if you ever get a chance to take a tour… The wall with all the signatures in the back is very very cool. Looking forward to my next opportunity to see a show at the Fox in downtown Detroit. Also all the seating is good seating.
  • There is absolutely nothing like this theatre. It is unique and oh so beautiful. It is truly a Detroit treasure. I suggest going a little before your show so you can walk around for a while. Every floor is different.
  • Saw Riverdance at the Fox Theater and sat in the mezzanine. Great seats and an amazing show! The building is incredible with the intricate details and how many people can fit- over 5000! Definitely a place to check out. Easy walking distance from multiple lots and the Fox Garage. Be wary of going during other events as parking is $40-55. Concessions are high as well- 4 bottles of water was $20. Definitely visit and experience the history. (Source)

Masonic Temple Reviews:

  • Great place to catch a show. The architecture and detail here is amazing. The sound quality they deliver to shows is pretty good. Only bad part is the few bathrooms, but that is quite understandable considering the age of the building.
  • I have been here a number of times most
Recently for the no limit concert. This was the first time I got my tickets directly from them instead of ticket Master and it was much better. With all the extra fees ticket Master charge I was able to save 120 dollars off three tickets.
    Visited for a concert.
This venue is so beautiful and so much history! However, for a large amount of people trying to get anyplace in that building - good luck!
  • Understood that the building can't be changed due to historical reasons and codes, it was still a long wait for anything. Lines were over 20+ min long for bathrooms or drinks. Be prepared to miss part of the show. (Source)
