Oklahoma has a rich musical history that is rooted in rhythm and blues. Country music is also popular here. No wonder that Oklahoma is a homeland of the top artists like Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, and Vince Gill. So, they often bring exceptional live music performances to the city’s locals and visitors. Here are six great venues where you can enjoy concerts in Oklahoma.

Since 1935, the Zoo Amphitheater has been a mecca for musicians and music lovers. Being able to hold up to 7,000 people, it happens to be a popular choice for concert organizations. Compared to other outdoor venues, the Zoo Amphitheater offers no places on the lawn. Thus, all visitors will need to take a specific place in accordance with the number on the entrance ticket. The bands like Matchbox Twenty and Judas Priest often make their shows here. The venue is comfortable enough to build up direct contact with the audience by staying relatively close to it.

The Zoo Amphitheatre Reviews:

  • I am an avid concert goer and would rank this venue up there with the best of them I've been to. The grounds were very nice and the people were even nicer.
  • Our 1st time here and we had a blast!! Shinedown was fabulous!! Wow what a concert!! I'd been waiting years to see them. Glad we were driving by 2hrs earlier than when we were told they'd be opening the gate because people were already getting in line which promoted us to do the same. No masks required, only small purses (which they check), no backpacks, no weapons of any kind including pocket knives. It's outside and the weather was perfect!! No lawn chairs or blankets allowed inside due to covid. There were men riding bicycle carriages giving people rides to and from the parking lot for $10 per person. Parking was free but a little distance to walk. No food or drink allowed inside but there's concessions inside and trash cans outside so you can bring a drink while you wait to enter. Handicap accessible/handicap parking which is closer to the entrance.
  • This is a pretty great outdoor event center. With the terrace levels and the large stage there was plenty of great viewing for shows and events. You definitely need to bring your own chair or blanket for almost every seat except the VIP area which they do not allow you to bring chairs into. The lines to get in were long and extremely confusing as they stretched across parking lots and around areas, we had to ask which line was which as GA and VIP and Express GA were three different ones STRETCHING OUT IN COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAYS. I would recommend this as a great concert venue though! There were a lot of drink and food options as well, although the prices were what you'd expect at a concert.

  • Cool spot! First time visiting OKC and definitely enjoyed the live music atmosphere and the way it was all set up. Lots of food trucks and selection of drinks available. Will visit again
  • Very cool place. What a great idea to bring food trucks together! Loads of seating. Occasional live music and a bar. Loads of fun and social distancing observed!
  • Pet friendly, live music, food trucks. Great way to enjoy friends. Also beer stands. Cool place ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘
  • A couple of my friends and I came to Bleu Garten not knowing what to expect. With that being said, it gives a nice, vibrant open space filled with great people and great music. We talked the night away while we listened to one of the live bands there and if we needed drinks or food they were a couple of steps away. This place reminds me of what summer should be like and I will definitely come back again.
