Apocalyptica, formed in 1993 at Helsinki's Sibelius Academy, redefined heavy metal with their classical covers of Metallica. Known for "Plays Metallica By Four Cellos," they've achieved legendary status through unique style and innovation in music.
Finnish symphonic metal band Apocalyptica, who is known for their cello adaptations of songs by the iconic rock band Metallica, is set to go out on their Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2 Tour.
They are currently on their European tour and will hit the road in North America on February 6, 2025 before wrapping up on the 8th of March. They will perform at 24 concerts in cities such as Washington, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Houston.
The Apocalyptica Tour will feature their newest album Plays Metallica, Vol. 2, which was released on June 7, 2024. The album – as well as the band itself – is a tribute to the legendary heavy metal band. In fact, the album saw contributions from James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo, and the late Cliff Burton – all members of Metallica. Apocalyptica will be joined by Nita Strauss on this tour.
The tour includes VIP packages such as meet & greet, early entry, exclusive merchandise, and a chance to see the artists before the show.
The band announced their North American tour by posting, "North America! We have GREAT news to share! We’re happy to announce that we’ll be coming to your continent in February and March 2025 bringing our new album “Plays Metallica Vol. 2” on stage!!"
Get your tickets now and join Apocalyptica as they pay homage to one of the greatest bands in rock history.
