Kino, a legendary Russian rock band formed in Leningrad in 1981, pioneered post-punk and new wave. Led by Viktor Tsoi, they crafted poetic, socially conscious songs like "Gruppa krovi" and "Zvezda po imeni Solntse," resonating with Soviet youth. Their influential albums, including "Gruppa krovi," achieved widespread acclaim and international recognition, cementing their status as a cornerstone of Russian music.
