Johnny Echols, born in Memphis, Tennessee, co-founded the pioneering Los Angeles psychedelic rock band Love in 1965. Known for their genre-bending sound encompassing folk, garage, and proto-punk, Love's album "Forever Changes" is a critically acclaimed masterpiece. Echols' lead guitar defined hits like "7 and 7 Is" and "My Little Red Book," and he continues to perform Love's timeless music.
