Osees, led by John Dwyer, is a dynamic garage-punk band known for its raw, noisy rock sound. Originating in Rhode Island, Dwyer moved to California, where he became a pivotal figure in the San Francisco indie scene. Osees, formerly Thee Oh Sees, blend psychedelic pop, garage rock, and punk. Notable albums include Mutilator Defeated at Last and Protean Threat. Dwyer's collaborations include Chris Woodhouse. The band's rigorous touring and evolving sound, recently delving into synth pop and innovative percussion, highlight their lasting influence on the genre.
