Formed in Alexandria, Virginia in 1997, Pig Destroyer is an extreme East Coast grindcore band known for short, complex songs, dual vocals, and no early bassist. Signed to Relapse Records in 2000, they released acclaimed albums like Prowler in the Yard and Terrifyer, later incorporating sludge and noise elements.
