About The Magnetic Fields

The Magnetic Fields, led by Stephin Merritt from Yonkers, NY, are indie rock icons. Known for clever lyrics and minimal arrangements, they gained acclaim with albums like the 69 Love Songs. Merritt collaborated with Claudia Gonson and others, evolving from synth pop to organic sounds. Celebrated for thematic releases and experimental projects, their work includes 2017's 50 Song Memoir and 2020's Quickies.

For their upcoming 69 Love Songs USA & Canada Tour, the alt-rock band The Magnetic Fields will be celebrating the 25th aniversary of their 2000 breakthrough album, “69 Love Songs.”

The band are playing their “masterwork” in its entirety as it was originally performed, each mega-length, 69 song concert split into two consecutive shows per city.
