1970s funk band War, known for blending soul, jazz, and Latin with hits like "Low Rider," topped charts with albums like "The World Is a Ghetto." Known for their group dynamic, they collaborated with Eric Burdon.

Trish Toledo, from Harbor Area, is an Ecuadorian/Guatemalan soul artist with roots in her father's Cumbia band. Known for "Thee Only One," she has evolved from Ska/reggae to a celebrated solo career.
