Formed in 1998 in Toronto, alt-rock band Metric, by Emily Haines & Jimmy Shaw, thrived in NYC’s rock scene. Renowned for defying major labels and a consistent lineup, they've released several influential albums, maintaining an independent and adventurous approach.

Formed in Halifax, Sloan is a celebrated Canadian pop band known for melding alternative rock with classic power pop. Famous for hits like "Underwhelmed," they're acclaimed for albums like "One Chord to Another" and praised for each band member's unique songwriting contributions.
