The Roots, rap band from Philadelphia, are known for live instrumental music and Grammy wins. Famous for "You Got Me" with Erykah Badu, they've collaborated widely, notably with John Legend and Elvis Costello, and serve as the house band on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.

Digable Planets, from NY, MD, and PA, fused jazz and hip-hop, gaining fame with their Grammy-winning hit "Rebirth of Slick." Known for the albums "Reachin'" and "Blowout Comb," they showcased a mix of live music and street sound.

Formed in South Central LA, the Pharcyde are an alternative rap quartet known for their debut gold album 'Bizarre Ride II' and hits like "What’s Up Fatlip". They gained fame with unique style and collaborated with De La Soul & A Tribe Called Quest.
