Lawrence Rothman is a nonbinary singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose fifth studio album Here Lies Love / Sawdust to Stardust arrives September 25 via KRO Records. Written between Biarritz and Nashville and recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium, the album explores addiction and recovery, love and loss, gender identity, and the search for meaning, featuring collaborations with Amanda Shires, Jason Isbell, and Katie Pruitt. For over two decades, Rothman has built a singular career producing and writing with Angel Olsen, Margo Price, Kali Uchis, Kim Gordon, and Lucinda Williams, blending folk, country, rock, and experimental influences into songs of fearless emotional honesty.
