Heather Small joined Hot House in the late 80s, then rose to fame with M People hits Moving on Up, One Night in Heaven and Search for the Hero. M People won Brit Awards and the Mercury Prize for Elegant Slumming. She later released solo albums Proud and Close to a Miracle.
Born in England’s Midlands, Roland Gift fronts Fine Young Cannibals; a soaring soul‑edged voice. Hit “She Drives Me Crazy”; People’s 50 Beautiful; acted in Scandal.
Nik Kershaw hit the UK pop scene in 1984 with singles “Wouldn’t It Be Good”, “The Riddle” and “I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me”, spending 62 weeks on the UK Singles Chart (1984–85) and playing Live Aid. He wrote Chesney Hawkes’ “The One and Only” and collaborated with Elton John, Sia, Gary Barlow and Bonnie Tyler.
