The Back Alley Concerts 2024

Traditionally late with set times by about 45min. Doors tonight said 6pm however nobody started moving until about 645 for entry. Even with a sell out show you can usually get a drink. However the venue is more wide than deep. Rock shows not so great to see the band.

Went for the Shaggy 2 Dope performance on April 12th 2024. Doors opened at pretty much the scheduled time (8pm) security measures were swift but thorough. My friend and I located a seat, and the show went underway with the first openers within about 15 minutes. Great performers but the house music kept creeping in. I also noticed right off the bat that the acoustics were pretty bad but they improved wonderfully as the night went on. Strong bass and decent acoustics, however the vocals were incredibly loud. Much too loud. Club was really really nice, very clean, very cool. Staff seemed very upbeat and didn't pressure you to buy drinks. Way better than I expected. Cool vibes, fantastic lighting. Don't know if those belong to the acts performing though. Just need to adjust certain sound levels

Was there for an exciting drag performance. Great place. Friendly staff! Clean washrooms. Plenty of free parking. Reasonable prices.

The show was awesome!! The DJ should be replaced. We were there for a GWAR show, and in-between bands, they played country music. The DJ was booed. You'd think that would've been a big enough hint, but no. They did it again. They also played the same song in between every band. We heard "sweet Caroline" 3× that night. Read the room buddy.
