Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Reviews

Yeah so, I wasn't here to see theater or a performance, but the inside architecture is pretty rad, especially up up up the giant escalator! There are little galleries spread throughout the enclave, in the basement level and up on the 5th(?) floor, and they're never too crowded, which is nice. Lot of people come here to sit on the kidney shaped seats and doze off. Don't miss the mysterious and looming Global Ring outside. What is its purpose? What is its mission? We may never know.

The place is iconic and grandeur, yet, the hardworking staff and guards with a lot of rules and area regulations for hygiene and security are a bit overwhelming. Well, of course, once you’re inside and seated, everything unnecessary for enjoying the show will fly away, so no bother, actually, since the magnificent stage design and well-spaced seating are just great. The theatre are accessible from many directions of the building including through the underground malls, but you’ll eventually need processing your ticket on a specific floor with a lot of other guests, so take a good time and mind for meeting your stars in stage before entering. Small but a functional box office for the day tickets (if there are any), goods shop and intermission bar are usually available on each event.

Watched an orchestra performance at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre. It was worth while. The atmosphere and staff are brilliant, the acoustics suit the music well and the seats are comfortable too. I would recommend it if you get the chance.

Very nice place to take a break from walking. There are soft comfy chairs. A free water fountain if you have your own bottles!! Trash can in the women’s bathroom also useful.

Sci-fi looking building with very welcoming interior. The stage and seats have very “contemporary theatre” vibe. Pleasant experience.
