An experience that can only be described as magical!!! The concert took place at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland. It started on time (6:30pm) and was really well organized - there were assistants to guide us to our seats and we didn't wait long before the concert began. The cathedral was beautifully decorated with battery operated candles, laid out on the main stage and at the start of each row of seats. This definitely added a warm touch to the cathedral which has beautifully stained glass and high ceilings with stunning architecture! The concert was led by the Kulios, and was a tribute to Coldplay and Imagine Dragons.. each artist had us entranced by their talent and the instruments which they played beautifully! The audience was advised before the start of the concert, that all mobile devices were to be placed on silent, and that photos and videos will only be allowed when the last song is played. The audience definitely abided by this request and it was great to see the assistants keeping an eye out just in case any mobile devices were in use. The lead artist notified us of when the last song was going to be played, and it was at this point that all devices were out and in full use 😄 Once the concert ended, the audience were allowed to take photos and videos of the main stage and we certainly had a ball doing so! 🥹 I've rated the overall experience a 4/5: This is because the concert took place at a time when there was still light outdoors - the candles and it's ambience could not be fully experienced and immersed in, as daylight was shining through the cathedral doors which were all transparent glass. This was the only downside - I wish the concert could have been at a time when the sun was completely down, therefore the cathedral would have been dark enough to fully see the candles and experience it's ambience. Other than this, it was a great first time experience which I would highly recommend to others, just bearing in mind that the candles may not be fully experienced due to venue lighting and the time of your concert 👌🏻

I had spent a lovely 3 week holiday in Auckland before discovering this wonderful cathedral on the very day of my departure for home in the UK ( Sunday 4th December ) I thoroughly enjoyed the early 8am communion service and the considerable beauty of the interior. I couldn't help smiling at the fact it was dedicated to both St Patrick and St Joseph ( The Irish ex - pats probably refer to it as Paddy and Joe"s cathedral church ) . The atmosphere was lovely and set me up for a day's worth of calm reflection before catching a plane home that evening at 21.15. Thank you Ellis Coxon
