Artscape Theatre Centre Concerts 2024

Watched Legally Blonde the musical on Sunday 4 Feb 2023 A great experience considering all those involved do it voluntary or to gain experience and get noticed. The props were great and so was the story line. A bit of everything, fun , sadness The show lasts just over 2.5hrs including a 30min interval. It's only running for about 2 weeks and definitely worth seeing

My husband and I went to go see the Don Quixote ballet this past weekend. And what a cultural treat! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially myself, as the last ballet I had been to was when I was a young girl 🩰 The Artscape staff were professional yet friendly with helping us print our tickets and find the right level and door to our seats. Ordering appetizers before the show is a great service as they serve it up nice and hot during the first intermission for you to munch on. Drinks are also on offer, so you can enjoy a glass of bubbly before the show and during intermission if that's your taste 🥂 And the ballet was magical. A live show with live music is such a treat where we live in a digital world. Having visiting international dancers part of it was an amazing experience. Shall definitely be on the lookout for another classic ballet! The Artscape building itself could do with some TLC inside and out as it appears a bit worn from age and use. Clearer signage or a better system would be great to provide first-time visitors with the knowledge on how the food and drink can be ordered and where to get a program, etc. We only knew through the people we had come with who had been to the Artscape before. I really appreciated the clean bathrooms. Thank you! Keep up the great work with the arts and visitor experience 🎭

Wow, what a wonderful evening we had. We watched The Sound of Music, absolutely amazing. The cast, the music, backdrops of the most high standard. I will definitely go and watch again. It was such an amazing evening, we enjoyed the good old classic show. Our 5yr old granddaughter is even singing the songs now.😊👍👏💯

A lovely venue with welcoming staff, from the car attendants to security and the ticket scanner, made our experience wonderful. Despite some difficulty finding parking, likely due to our GPS, we managed to locate a spot. When approaching CT from the N1, taking the first left onto FW DE Klerk Boulevard, which leads to Jan Smuts, is the best route to the parking garage. Alan, the car guide outside, was incredibly helpful. The Artscape was bustling with people, causing a bit of a commotion in the garage. However, the garage provided a safer environment. Although the show encountered technical issues, resulting in a delay of about an hour, we thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Overall, it was a fantastic show, and we look forward to attending again.

What an amazing experience! We watched the sound of music. It was a brilliant production. The sets were absolutely stunning, the cast was marvelous and of course their singing was breathtaking.
