The City Ground Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the City Ground for an FA cup tie. Surprisingly a sell out in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Easy to get to via public transport. Oozes character being an older ground. With the towering Trent End stand in front of us along with the older Peter Taylor stand to the left. Not the greatest leg room which I'd to be expected from an older ground and can be hard to navigate your way out especially when busy. Highly recommend a visit and the home fans of Mull of Kintyre was enjoyable.

Was a very fun match experience at the stadium. The space is mostly easy to navigate just a hard time finding your gates and some are on the other side with a metal gate in the middle. Otherwise the seats were easy to find and the staff were friendly.

The stadium food was nice. However, the away view was slightly obstructed by the tier above. The home atmosphere was poor. But overall a pleasant experience. It was a close game but Bristol city unfortunately didn’t prevail.

Decent old football ground but, like so many others, a pretty poor experience for away fans (only compensated for by winning)! To get to the visitors entrance gates one is sent on a major detour around the houses (literally). And when we entered the ground we found ourselves in the back row of the stand (Z) from which viewing the game is a bit like watching through a letterbox.

Forest are my team so naturally I'm going to give it five stars. Seriously though, how many other football grounds can boast a commanding view over the river? This is what you might class as a traditional football ground with four differently styled stands and it will be an even greater spectacle once the new main stand gets rebuilt and the Bridgford End is two-tier right the way across.
