The 1865 Concerts 2024-2025

Had a great time, saw New model army. As always the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Having difficulty with mobility, they let me have a stool in a place where I would have good visibility. This is definitely my favourite venue.

Absolutely love this venue! Easily one of my favourite venues to attend in the country due to the atmosphere and the staff, not to mention the quality of the sound which has been on point for most, if not all, my visits. Great layout with plenty of room for the crowd, as well as seating options if needed. The raised bar at the back also means the queues for drinks don't interrupt the gig.

I travelled down to Southampton by train to this venue which is easy to find if a little walk from Southampton Central. It's an ideal venue as a rock gig, the staff were friendly and helpful and the beer was well kept and inexpensive for a club. Certainly, the sound quality for the bands was good and it was comfortable walking around the hall to find a decent spot to settle down. The only fly in the ointment was having to leave quite early to get a suitable train back to London but that is hardly the fault of the venue.

Good gig. Went to see the Meteors, I remember buying their 1st album back in 1981... so you can imagine lots of 50 somethings having a good time.. they didn't start till 2130, and the doors opened at 1930. Good place as well.

We came to the 1865 to see nirvana uk which was amazing!! I was a bit sceptical about going as I had an operation a couple of weeks before on my shoulder and didn't want to damage it further being in the mosh pit! Luckily for me there was plenty of room up on the balcony area where I got a great view and some great videos. Drinks were not badly priced and the atmosphere was great. Will be back again for sure
