This is an amazing Art Deco style theater from 1932 in Bar Harbor. The front area is all original wood decor, includung the ticket booth. Movies are still shown here. A wonderful trip back in time.

Criterion theater is an old theater built in 1932 in Bar Harbor. It holds a variety of events including musical acts. Much of the theater is original and it is a very fun place to catch a show. We saw a Prince Tribute Band and enjoyed it. Check it out!

Criterion Theater is a beautiful old theater in the heart of Bar Harbor. While it is closed during the pandemic, it is worth a visit and a place to enjoy a show. Spend some time looking at the detail in addition to whatever is playing.

A new beginning in a past glitzy glory!!! The space is wonderful and worth the preservation! Bar Harbor will never get another place like this if it became obsolete!! What a Blessing to have right here!!!! I saw a youthful theatrical favorite group I have followed for years.. BELLA'S BARTOK!!! And The Crown Vics opened for them, a great cover group with a lot of good energy

Nostalgia Nostalgia ✨Exceptional knowledge and welcoming from the greeters at the concession stand. Came to see NOPE in one the most historical & haunted theaters on the East Coast, not gonna lie…ladies room was a little creepy visiting by myself. Pay the extra dollar to get the private seating upstairs. Loved our time here will revisit!
