Parx Xcite Center Concerts 2024

We are huge fans of the Carbonaro Effect, and had an opportunity to see Michael Carbonaro at the Xcite Center last night. It was an amazing show and so worth a night out. My husband and I had not been to Parx in years. They have done a great job adding more restaurants with better food choices. I’m grateful to have a venue close by to experience a fun night like this. We will be back!

Overall the experience was okay. It’s an intimate venue and definitely not a bad seat in the house. A couple issues, the band said they needed to rush through the performance because Parx has a policy where they shut the electricity off by 10pm (on a Saturday?). Through no fault of the band they only performed 16 songs when their set list is usually 20. Rough. Also, the ushers have no decorum or respect for the band. People were coming in 30 minutes late and being shown to their seat with bright flashlights MID SONG during an acoustic set. Really disruptive and takes you out of the experience.

Great show or concert night. Affordable and great seats no matter where you sit. I've been to 2 shows already here and both were great and the staff was really nice and helpful. Andy Grammer was awesome tonight!

Just saw Bobby Rush and Buddy Guy. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Nice small venue. The only negative thing I have to say would be the seats. Seemed very flimsy, and when one person moves, the whole row feels it. I swear if someone on the end farts, the whole row would feel the ripple. I do have to say there were quite a few concert goers who were up and down throughout the show. This means everyone needed to get up, move to the aisle to let them out, then do it again when they returned. This blocks the view of everyone sitting behind them. Seemed like most people were leaving for more drinks. I found this rude and inconsiderate of other patrons, as well as the artist. Please...be prepared when you enter the concert with your potty breaks and beverages so we can all enjoy the show.

Much smaller than I thought but overall a nice spot. No bar inside the venue but they stamp you and let you go to the bar right outside the door for easy in and out access. I could see this being a good spot for a loud concert since the area is small. The seats were relatively comfortable. Being 6'2" I'm usually crammed into stadium/concert seats but this wasn't as bad as usual. Would come back here for another concert for sure.
