The Carolina Theatre Concerts 2025

Not only is this theater absolutely beautiful but it still has that intimate feel to it. I love that they offer such diverse shows for viewing and everyone seemed so genuinely happy to be there. I cannot wait to go back!

I only came across this place because they were doing a retro horror series, but this place is freaking awesome. No idea how I haven't come across it before, but the fact that they do ongoing retro movies of all genres is absolutely genius. The place was high-quality, super fun, a well laid out theater and excellent experience all around. Going to come back again and again (starting today, w second movie in two days), probably even becoming a season-ticket holder!

Wonderful venue! The seats we a little narrow for my 'full-sized' tail. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

What a lovely evening seeing swan lake performed here. The venue maintains its historic roots while keeping the atmosphere clean and friendly. Plenty of room in the seats and a lovely waiting area in the lobby for intermission and pre-show. It is a non-profit and could always benefit from generous donors and a full house. I highly recommend seeing at least one show there if you're ever in the Durham area!

Went to see The Nutcracker. This was my first time at the Carolina Theatre. It is charming. It's not the ritziest, but it is quaint. There are no cup holders on the theater seats but the seats are comfortable and the theater was very clean. There is a concessions stand. And the restrooms were plenty and clean. One Con: the grade of the floor of the seating area is not steep, so it can be difficult to see over the people in front of you as they are nearly on the exact same level as you. But all in all, I enjoyed my experience. I was neat the rear & towards the side but felt I could see the stage well. I will be returning. *the cast did great as well!
