Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort Concerts 2024

My son & I decided to go watch a few races for our mom & son day in Hot Springs. This was his first time to be at the horse races & enjoyed it. We had lunch at Big Al's there & it was really good. I had the turkey sandwich & he had the chicken nachos. I asked about the burgers & they said 75/25, so that means fatty, so I did not get a burger, very picky hamburger meat person here, but was we did get was really good. We ate lunch & watched the races only, we did not stay at the hotel.

First time ever at a horse track! It was an absolutely fantastic experience! Clean, open area for foot traffic. Lots of food & drink choices. Many live tvs inside (for this track and others) so you don't have to be in the weather. All around great time!

Love Hot Springs, Love going to Oaklawn use to win good Jackpots there. Not as frequent as they use to be. Employees are very nice , the crowd on the other hand has become a bunch of young power drinking disrespectful people . It's more of a club scene especially on the weekends. We have stayed in the rooms. They were fine but on the pricey side. If they were more affordable we would stay more often and avoid the drunk drivers leaving there.

I only experienced the casino. The main area is nonsmoking. I was so happy for that. I used to smoke and had a smoker with me so we did go in the smoking area and played. It was so thick with smoke it was hard to breathe. There should be better ventilation and a warning on the door. I never saw a waitress and the lines for nonalcoholic beverages took forever. But we played for hours and had a great time.

We had a good time the workers we encountered were very friendly and helpful! I even won a lil! It's very big from what I saw we didn't walk over the whole floor but it was a good time! We were surprised to know we had to pay for the drinks back home they're complimentary as long as your actively playing but that wasn't a issue we just didn't know you had to pay but great place friendly workers we'll be back!
