The Orpheum Theater Concerts 2024-2025

Let me start by saying that the show we were there for was awesome and deserves 5+ stars. I am here to rate the theater experience though and that was barely 2 stars. The event staff at the entrance was horrible and rude. It is bad enough we have to go through metal detectors in a theater. Don't make it an airport experience by being so rude. The bag checker tried to give purse to another lady 3 times even though she told him it's not hers, I told him it's mine. He did neither listen nor care. I understand it was a busy night with two shows back to back and not enough time to clear and fill the venue again (who thought that would work, I'd like to meet you!), but please take that up with your employer, not the audience.

Boz Scaggs Summer 2023 Tour in support of his latest album… It's appropriate that his new album is 'Out of the Blues', since the blues is what first sparked his five-decade musical career. Beautiful summer night here in Madison, enjoying our third Boz concert (4 for Jan!) at the Orpheum Theatre on State Street.

It's a beautiful classic venue. Rodrigo and Gabriella were outstanding!

This was my first and LAST time going to this theater. The day the tickets went on sale for a show, I specifically picked out front row balcony seats. Come the day of the show when we go to get our tickets scanned we were told to go to the box office window to get our seats reassigned because the balcony is closed due to lower attendance, so we ended up stuck in the middle of the seating close to the back row of the main level. We were very upset about this, as were others sitting near us who also purchased front row balcony. The least they could have done was emailed people to let them know of the situation but that was not even done.

Saw NEED TO BREATH at this beautiful theater. It really was quite a perfect venue! Seemed like a mini version of the Orpheum in the twin cities. Same classical old feel, but still very clean and beautiful. Would definitely like to see another show here!
