Madame Lou's Reviews

Oh wow. What a venue. 10 stars out of 5. Clean venue, the best staff - like seriously noteworthy levels of friendliness and professionalism. Great bar selection. Great food. If you’re in a band playing Seattle - this is the spot. Also a great venue to watch shows. The sound is excellent, awesome lighting. A spacious space that’s not too high. I would highly recommend playing here or watching shows here. So good.

Took my daughter for her first concert experience. I'm so happy that her experience was in a smaller venue like this! Everyone was professional and friendly. All concert goers had close access to the performer.

Really cozy experience. EVERY staff member was really welcoming which was kind of a foreign experience. Maybe it's because I saw a Sage Francis show and was drinking Diet Coke, but everyone from Security, to Will Call/Door to the Bartender...everyone was just super chill and it felt like OLD SEATTLE. Nowadays going to see a show can be such a cold experience - I just skip seeing artists I like because feeling like an inmate on lockdown just isn't worth it (I don't go see Jack White live anymore for that reason). This experience was lovely, though!

Awful place. Me and boyfriend are 18 and came to see red leather. The concert/stage area was super crowded and everyone under 18 had to be in that one small crowded area. There was no seating for anyone under 21, workers were very rude redirecting people to the correct place. They gave us water but we were forced to use snow cone cups as a water cup. Music was WAY to loud. You couldn't exit the building and come back under 21 even though they stamp you . You couldn't even sit on the stairs, yet their workers sit on the stairs. Workers glared at us the whole night after trying to find a place to sit. One of the bands merch was in the 21 plus area so we couldn't even buy stuff from them. The lights shine in your face (directly in the crowd). Very rude and unprofessional environment won't waste my money or time here again.

We saw Nightclub here and both the show and the venue were amazing. The security staff were polite and friendly, they helped get wristbands for our friends so we could stick together. I didn't see any "rude" or "bully" behavior whatsoever from the staff. The bartender was great, the drinks were plenty strong and they were not that expensive. If you were coming here just to get drunk, it could add up. I don't see how there was anyplace in that venue you could have been "cold", that being said it was not crazy hot either. If you are seeing a band up close and personal in a space that only holds 300 you are going to be a little sweaty at the end. Hint, stand by the stairs for a minute where the air comes down. Although don't sit there because um, fire escape? People need to go in and out? Don't expect to sit. Why the hell do you want to sit? This isn't a stadium show, it's an intimate performance where you can be 3 feet from your favorite artist. There are 2 tables in the back and a couple bench seats. If you can't stand for a show it could be rough. Accessibility hint: as it says right on the website, there is a wheelchair ramp around the back alley. Or if you really can't handle a few stairs. Also in the back alley: a sweet 2nd bar where you can drink, eat Phillies and afterparty. And lastly, if you are kid under 21 just be blessed that they even let you in the building. Liquor laws are tough. Thankfully our show was 21+.
