McMenamins Elks Temple Concerts 2025

As we live in Tacoma we enjoy having a unique destination for "out-of-towners" to enjoy. The variety of bars, restaurants and vistas is excellent. In good weather the Spanish Steps are a great place for lunch or a beverage and socializing with friends. There is a hidden bar that takes a bit of sleuthing to find, but then who else has a hidden bar? This is a fun place for adults and today I had a light dinner with a friend. We sat and enjoyed the view of the Spanish Stairs, the Link, and the Old City Hall. The staff is friendly, helpful and very capable. I'd recommend it, but not so much for young people... it's great for young adults and older adults that are young at heart. P.S. I even had a scavenger hunt there when it first opened. We had five teams of 4-5 people and when we were finished we checked off the required finds and had a lot of laughs. In the main floor restaurant where we served our friends 5-6 appetizers and they ordered their drinks. Hope you enjoy it.

Stayed for 4 days for our anniversary and exploring the area. Beautiful building and views. The room was just okay, but too close to the main desk for noise. The music from the restaurant below was shaking the room late into the evening. The food was okay, it's very much bar food (over salted) no matter the time of day. Service was better in the evenings. It was fun to try once. Good location to walking around old town and trying different restaurants or taking in a show. Probably a great location for drinking and bar food while attending a concert there. Parking was a challenge.

Cool building. Inside it has that great McMenamins vibe. Like usual, the food is mediocre and over-priced, while the service is slow, but acceptable. Dessert was good and I liked the atmosphere. This is a consistent McMenamins experience and as long as you know that going in, dinner is fine.

I brought a buddy to Kaiser for surgery and had to kill a few hours so I went to McMenanins to see if they had breakfast. The building is impressive as is the interior. When I walked in and saw the front desk reception area I knew I had found a great place. Then I stepped in to the bar area and was impressed as it was warm and inviting. Stain glass and Victorian decor. I grabbed a spot at the bar and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Had a great conversation with the bartender. Wonderful experience - I will definitely be back.

Cool place to hang out and enjoy yourself. If your game and had a few drinks, you can totally play hide and seek as there are several floors and hidden rooms. Just don't play on the 6th floor as that's the hotel and would be messed up. Tuck yourself away in the vault and avoid a larger crowd or go ham and mingle with everyone everywhere else! Drinks are always good no matter the bar you go to and be prepared as there's probably something going on at the venue there, so fork over the cover and have a good time!
