Our first visit. Wow, was I impressed. Checks all the right boxes: Ease of access, ample, affordable and convenient parking, quite attractive and esthetically appealing setting, great sight lines to stage, fancy lighting system and a really fantastic sound system. Staff that is really there to help. Plus we were on the road with no traffic within 20 minutes after leaving the sold out Ringo Starr concert. Would have been sooner but we lingered by the lighted and quite attractive, pedestrians-only courtyard, with a beautiful water feature. After living in SoCal for many years and Chicago before then, fighting traffic from hell, crowds, putting the car into shoeboxes and paying ridiculously high fees to do it, then using binoculars to see the stage (though paying several times more than we did last night) and then taking over 2 hours to get away (trapped like a sardine in a can) this venue was an absolute wonder. We are so fortunate to have it.

Really nice acoustics in the venue. We bought our tickets on site to avoid the Ticketmaster charges and it was a smooth process as the ticket booth was right next to the entry. Going with 4 instead of 5 stars because there was no center aisle which made it challenging to get to your seat without falling into people, and the prices for concessions were far worse than I thought they would be ($9 for a latte?). They also don’t reduce prices day of or the hour before to help fill the house which seemed a little odd to us too, but perhaps that’s standard. Staff was very friendly and certainly added to the experience.

Beautiful venue. The technical aspects of the show were well managed, and the lobby, hall, and restrooms were very clean and well maintained. The only complaint I have is that the ushers who were helping people find their assigned seats seemed to have no idea about the layout of the seating at all. I saw a woman on a motorized scooter get dragged all over the auditorium as the ushers struggled to find a way to get her to her assigned seating, with no obvious wheelchair/scooter access to her disabled seating. She was very upset and the ushers just passed her off between each other as they struggled to seat her. Otherwise a well run venue, maybe just dedicate extra training to the auditorium staff. The lady who made and served coffees was delightful, as a side note. All the emergency personnel were friendly as well.

This venue is very nice. Acoustics are fine ,but it is up to entertainers to best provide volume. The 2 down sides.. 1 - be in your seat before doors close for start, even after intermissoons Or you won't be allowed in. 2- no matter the outside temp plan to get warm inside! Comments about shows see previous posts on those subjects.
Saw Ali Wong here, who was surprisingly very blue, even more so than on her specials. The seats are awful, not that comfy. Sound is fine, the acoustics are fine, but this place needs to update the seating to be more luxurious. It feels as if they cram as many people into a row… take out one seat, get more comfortable seating, and give people some room to enjoy the show.
