Went to Madame butterfly for my birthday, with my mom. I waited 'til near the end of intermission to use the lady's room (due to the lines), and when I came out some staffer gleefully (she was clearly amused) told me I couldn't go in. The music hadn't even started, but she insisted. I mentioned the two men behind me coming and going as they pleased during the first act, but she forced me to go watch the rest of the show from the mezzanine, where I could barely see the stage over the rail. This rule wasn't mentioned during the lengthy intro, wasn't posted anywhere, and I couldn't find it in my program. It's also clearly only enforced for some, while others do whatever they want. I wouldn't waste my money at this theatre, again. At least when we go to Seattle, they don't punish us for needing to use the bathroom. Thanks for ruining my night.

We really enjoyed the Led Zeppelin tribute band, Led Zepagain at the Rialto Theater last weekend. Our only complaint was with the theater staff: they would not allow anyone up out of their seats, dancing or even cheering for the music. It felt rather subdued and quite restricted for a concert venue. parking is pretty much only on the street. there's no parking lot. We called an Uber so we were okay. The restrooms were very clean and plenty of them, the staff was friendly enough other than enforcing the " stay seated down in your seat" rule throughout the show.

Enjoyed Tacoma Youth Symphony. Great acoustics.

Cool restored, historic theater in downtown Tacoma. Coat check; nice, modern restrooms; food and beverages allowed in the theater; big stage; and it looks like all seats have a good view. Saw fantastic CeCe Teneal's Aretha Franklin tribute show. She invited us to video record this one performance that I will attempt to post.

This is a beautiful theater. It is old, so no elevator or other kinds of mobility access. If you want to attend an event, get tickets early to be on the lower level if you have mobility difficulties.
