Planning to go to a concert in Maryland? Especially for you, I have prepared a list of my favorite concert venues in Maryland.

1. The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring, MD

The Fillmore Silver Spring presented by Cricket Wireless - Silver Spring, MD

The Fillmore Silver Spring brings a dynamic, first-class venue to the arts and entertainment district of Downtown Silver Spring, located just outside of Washington, DC. For more than 40 years, the legendary Fillmore name has stood as the link between some of the most influential artists in music and their fans. With a capacity of 2,000, the Fillmore offers an array of diverse live music programming. The venue opened its doors in 2011 in partnership with Montgomery County and features state-of-the-art lighting and sound, stadium style tiers on the balcony level, and a lounge area.

Address: 8656 Colesville Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910, United States (Directions)
Phone: +1 301-960-9999

Тhe Fillmore Silver Spring Reviews:

  • Great venue to see a show. Not a huge place so you can see the stage pretty well from the main floor. If you like a better view and don't mind being a little further from the action head upstairs to the balcony. Bars are setup nicely for quick service without having to miss any of the show. Staff were super friendly and professional.
  • Nice venue with a wide range of genres playing here. very organized entry procedure with little hassle. coat check and bar on bottom level. upper level is balcony VIP area with seats and standing room.courteous bartenders with quick service. never attended a bad show here.
  • This is a very nice venue: clean, good sound, plenty of parking nearby (and public transportation), and nice staff. I'd go here again. I believe its capacity is ~2000 guests, so mid sized acts will be booked here - it's not an intimate hole in the wall nor an arena, so you're not going to see ginormous bands or up and coming unknowns. Somewhere in the middle, the "acquired taste" bands with a solid following will come here. It's a good place to see them. If you can, get balcony seats; they have stadium seating up there for a much better view. Downstairs (when I went) was general admission standing only, which is ok but not great for seeing the stage. Baltimore Soundstage Reviews:

  • Nice venue. The parking garage was connected to the same building. Felt very safe to walk. Wish there was more security at the front. They didn't search anyone, just looked in purses with a flashlight. It was winter time and people had coats on that could have hidden anything on them. Got to stay safe these day's!
  • Saw Flor here. Sound and lighting were good. It's a fairly small and simple venue with standing room only. It has the essentials for an enjoyable concert. Plenty of paid parking garages nearby.
  • I love this venue. Great location. Good variety of entertainment. And they validate your parking for the garage right next door! You don't even have to wear a coat in the winter! (Source)

Rams Head On Stage Reviews:

  • Pretty spectacular place to enjoy an intimate ( read smallish) performance of your favorite live Performances, Singing, or Bands. Food is tasty and the expectation is that you eat AND drink. I've definitely enjoyed every performance I've attended with just enough room to move and enjoy. It's a fun night out that isn't too expensive...less thsn 100$ per person.
  • Great intimate venue for listening to music. Good views of stage all around. Nice food and drink options. Love the cream of crab and local craft beer.
  • A quaint music venue with excellent acoustics. It's fabulous. Highly recommend it. Not my choice for dinner, but coffee, dessert and/or drinks during the show. Be sure to check the seating chart before selecting your seats to avoid a support. (Source)

  • Beautiful hall. My son was invited to play with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. It was seeing him playing with all the professionals. All the years of work and dedication has come playing in this beautiful symphony hall.
  • I went to Kim Walker’s concert here and absolutely loved it! I came first to buy the tickets - super awesome experience - they were very fast and didn’t even have a line. Very nice staff. The concert was organized great I thought. They did have lines and security but everyone was let in pretty quickly. Great stage and beautiful atmosphere!! Definitely will be back!!
  • For my first time, it was Great. I loved it. And the drinks available for purchase before the show and during intermission made it perfect. The preforms is definitely top notch. My hat goes off to these musicians. They played amazing. And the solo acts were fantastic. I went on International Women's Day, and the solo violinist was incredible. She rocked it. I cant wait to look for more performances. (Source)

Address: 20 Market Pl, Baltimore, MD 21202, United States (Directions)
Phone: +1 410-244-1131

Rams Head Live Reviews:

  • Pleasantly surprised with the venue layout. With all of the different balconies/levels and length of railings there's a ton of "front row" views. We got there after the show started and still managed to get in the second row on the second floor balcony. Plenty of bars so lines aren't too long outside of intermission before the headliner. Food was also good from the little food service area in the rear left corner. Excited for the next concert that we have tickets to!
  • Always a good venue. Big enough for top acts but small enough to always be close. Easy access to parking and easy access to drinks. The place was packed to the hills last night for Citizen Cope. One of his best shows. Plenty of energy which isn't always the case.
  • We went to see DEVIL MAKES THREE. It is a nice sized venue where you can see the stage rather closely. The staff are extremely helpful both on the phone and at Rams Head Live! My only complaint is there is little to no seating. We had to bring in wheelchairs so some of our party could sit due to health problems. (Source)

  • Very nice venue that includes drinks & light fare and convenient valet parking. There were theater attendants at every point, which means first-time visitors won't get lost. Best of all, the theater acoustics allowed for quite an enjoyable performance.
  • Why go to the Kennedy Center when you have Strathmore nearby? Great access by metro or pretty easy in and out by car. The cafe offers surprisingly good food, albeit from a steam bar. Recently added an escalator for easier access to the orchestra level seats.
  • One of the best stage and seats. Sound is absolutely amazing. I believe Strathmore is dedicated with state of the art sound quality materials. Very very nice!! (Source)

The Theater at MGM National Harbor Reviews:

  • Overall, this venue is very nice. I would like to see more signage added as far as seat and restroom locations. I would also like to see roomier ADA and similar seating. The acoustics in this venue are great, but I was a little surprised and disappointed to not see a video screen for the upper level patrons.
  • We went to the Theater at the MGM National Harbor to see the Price is Right Live. My first time and it was a great experience. The cast and crew did a great job keeping you entertained for an hour and a half. We saw many great historical The Price Is Right moments and they made you feel part of the show and it’s history too. If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it.
  • Comfortable space, very organized staff. Went to see Il volo in concert and it was overall a great experience. Clean, great staff and comfortable seating. (Source)

  • My son absolutely loved it. His grand parents took him twice. We took him and his great aunt took him again just the other night. Very nice setup for the Xmas lights as I'm sure many children loved it. Great job and very unique in the fact of driving thru the theater. Nice touch
  • Went to a country concert here. Wasn't too hyped about all the drunk teens but that's no fault of the venue. Had a great time
  • I love going here each year. But, they changed the route. I thought I was going up on the stage, then I thought I was going to locked up for going the wrong way. Nottt!! They just changed the route, mindless to say I was relieved, when I saw other cars following me. I was the leader of the pack. The funny thing is they didn't really know where I was leading them ither. What's that old saying " The Blind leading the Blind." It was fun. (Source)

The Maryland Theatre Reviews:

  • Beautiful theater. And the new addition works well with the old look. Great view from any seat. And the sound is wonderful. Beverages were reasonably priced.
  • Flashy new front to classic beautiful MD Theater. Went to see Resurrection A Journey Tribute Band. Sound was good. Light show was lacking. Bathrooms...why not improve the bathrooms when they blocked off the road for 6 months to build the fancy front?? Staircase not complete but in use. Close by parking. But make reservations at any neighboring restaurants or you won't get to eat before the show.
  • I love this place! Hardworking and kind people make this dream work. It is a gem for Hagerstown and Washington County. (Source)

Address: 10400 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Columbia, MD 21044, United States (Directions)
Phone: +1 410-740-5225

Union Jack's Reviews:

  • Pretty good food and drink but a bit pricey. Nothing to really write home about except the fried pickles. They were absolutely delicious, hands down the best. The waitress was amazing though, very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was good and the staff were polite as well.
  • It's a pub with pub food, at Union Jack's, it's done right. I got the fish and chips, and it was great, but mini pretzel crab was the star of the show! The whole world needs to know about this and I don't understand why this is the first time I've heard of it. Go during happy hour to get the pretzel crab for $5... totally worth it!
  • Dark British pub in need of some renovation. Friendly staff and really one of the only kitchens open late night mid-week in Columbia. Beer was cold and pizza tasted better than it looked. But everything looks worn and in need of updating- including the menu. (Source)

11. FedExField - Landover, MD

FedExField - Landover, MD

FedExField, originally Jack Kent Cooke Stadium, is an American football stadium located near the Capital Beltway in Prince George's County, Maryland, U.S., 5 miles east of Washington, D.C., near the site of the old Capital Centre arena. Wikipedia

Address: 1600 Fedex Way, Landover, MD 20785, United States (Directions)
Capacity: 82,000

FedExField Reviews:

  • Parking was surprisingly close and the employees working the parking lot were polite. We had great seats at FedEx field and plenty of beer vendors were walking around. My team lost but we had a great day.
  • Thankfully, the ushers has no problem with us moving a bit closer, and as there were very few people at the game, it didn’t hurt anyone. This will not always be the case, for example with playoff games when it really is packed, those seats are very undesirable. Perhaps to compensate for the lack of fans, the music and sounds were blasting so loud, that I believe I may have actually suffered hearing damage, and to cut down on some of the sharpness, I had to wear my hood up or else it actually hurt to have the sound bouncing all around.
  • Worked three events here and the stadium has a lot of different food venues to serve a variety of different palates. Definitely a beautiful stadium with differently priced seating. The club seats are awesome with open view (some with no windows so you can hear and be part of the vibe). (Source)
