The Depot - Salt Lake City, UT

From legends like BB King, Robert Plant, Jeff Beck and Bob Weir to the new sounds of Dua Lipa, Brockhampton, Cody Jinks and Oh Wonder! The Depot is a unique, multi-faceted 4-story venue built on the historical Union Pacific located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. The Depot Reviews:

  • I spoke with one of the managers here and they really took care of me. I didn't even realize there is a balcony here at The Depot. Knowing that there was more space to go to enjoy the show, it would have been different the first time. The team here really care about giving a good experience and trying to make the bad ones right. That's what matters to me most as a customer. A bad experience is one thing. But being ignored by a business is something else entirely. That hasn't happened and I am very pleasantly surprised that this really is a good venue with good management. I was wrong about this place.
  • Cool venue that's got good room for crowds but still feels intimate. We saw Alter Bridge here and it was such a sweet show! Nice that you can get some food at the bar while waiting for the main act. Food was pricey and simple but came out piping hot and was surprisingly tasty. Staff at the entrance and inside were fairly friendly. They offer a coat check which is nice during the colder months. Bathrooms got a thumbs up from my wife, so that's high praise!
  • My wife got us tickets for Alter Bridge (her absolutely favorite band) for my 63rd birthday so we headed down from Twin Falls Idaho. We needed ADA seating due to a very recent surgery and Depot staff were right on it as soon as we got there, as I saw them all perform throughout the night with all customers. A “shout out” to Chris upstairs for his assistance and class! Great employees, great venue culminating in a great birthday experience for my wife and me! (Source)

The Complex Reviews:

  • Great local venue to see bands. Clean. Concessions fairly inexpensive. Restrooms clean. Staff friendly & fun atmosphere. Warehouse style. Acoustics were good. Great view of stage even from the back
  • I was a little concerned about my kids going to concerts there initially. They've been to a good amount now & it's always been a great experience for us all. The last concert they went to a few weeks back, my nephew had a seizure & the quick response and care he received were stellar. Absolute top notch! The security officers conducted searches prior to entry & paramedics were available and prepared for any event. No complaints here.
  • Such an awesome venue, really small and cozy. The bar is in a great location and there’s really no bad place to stand. Conveniently next to the gateway as well. (Source)

Capacity: 20,000 (7,000 Reserved - 13,000 Lawn)
Phone: +1 801-417-5343

USANA Amphitheatre Reviews:

  • This is an awesome outdoor venue for concerts! If you're coming with kids or older folks who are probably going to need potty breaks I would recommend getting assigned seat tickets instead of lawn tickets, because if you lose your spot on the lawn you'll end up way in the back. The parking can take a minute, but it's organized and moves along steadily. They have lots of different options for food and drinks.
  • This is our preferred place to see concerts in the spring and summer. The sound quality is unbeatable and you can always get a comfortable cheal lawn seat and have chairs and blankets. We have seen some amazing bands play here. We like it that its outside and doesn't get so loud and bounce off the walls so we can't hear all the instruments and vocals.
  • The place to go for multiple musical venues. The shows consist mainly of 2 to 3 bands performing, sometimes more. You can buy tickets for show here in the spring, summer, and fall. It is big and had a lot of seats, as well as lawn seating on the back end. They also sell food, drinks, beer, and merchandise at grossly inflated prices. (Source)

  • Went to my first ever concert with Slenderbodies. Great atmosphere and super nice people. I hope everyone had a good time. Oh and shout out to security for doing a great job. As well to the rest of the staff. Thanks for a most memorable night.
  • Kilby Court is one of my favorite Utah venues! It’s like a hidden gem that takes you back to the garage band days. So many incredible artists have played at Kilby.
  • This is a hidden gem of a venue in Salt Lake City! Saw the band Belmont here and have missed some other really good shows here. Death Can for Cutie just played here and the street was shut down for the stage to be put up and be made ready for the large crowds. The venue is a tiny hidden place tucked down an alley with great artwork and murals. (Source)

  • Nice little venue!! The booths and tables are nice and the drinks were normal price. Not sure if it was the sound engineer, the venue's, or the headliner's issue, but the balance could use some work. Still 5 stars though!
  • Really great venue, very enjoyable. I saw Electric Guest and everyone that was there was awesome. Easy to get in and out. Very open atmosphere and the aesthetic is nice. The staff was nice too.
  • Urban is a legendary spot for both local bands, national artists and even your above average DJ produced dance party. Been attending show here for 20 years and I hope to attend for 20 more! The picture is of the mighty Iceburn! (Source)

Abravanel Hall Reviews:

  • The building is be beautiful! And its beneficial to have as many seats as it does, it helps more people to enjoy the concerts. The glass blown sculpture in the lobby is absolutely breathtaking, especially when the light hits it just right. Though the performer lineup is not well organized. They had all 300 of us waiting outside in the cold February weather for over an hour. Nonetheless, it's a gorgeous place for concerts.
  • The architecture of this place is amazing!! A big staircase with walkways branching off with gold leaf on the walls and a really aesthetically interesting red sculpture in the main room. :) Once you get into the theater room, there are gorgeous chandeliers with diamonds hanging off it that catch the light and create all these rainbows. It's so fun sitting on the side of the room!
  • Beautiful venue. I am a performer with a local choir (MCO) and I love being able to preform in their space. The hall is wonderfully designed for sound but it is also well decorated with beautiful art, colors and amazing architecture. (Source)

Vivint Arena Reviews:

  • Attended the Toby Mac concert.... the sound system was great! The venue was clean and well kept, especially the bathrooms. It was a bit warm in there... but not terribly so. Love too that there us plenty of parking nearby at the gateway.
  • The attendants working the event we went to were wonderful and made entering the arena in a wheelchair with medical equipment quick and easy. They were also fast to help us find the ADA seating and get us settled so that we could enjoy the show. The ADA seating itself was very well done and easy to maneuver the wheelchair in and out of. We were easily able to see the stage and monitors. I really appreciated that the seats weren't tucked back into a dark corner with a bad view. It was a great, no stress experience despite having lots of opportunities to go wrong. Well done, Vivint Smart Home Arena.
  • We went and saw Sesame Street Live. It was overall pretty good. All the workers were helpful and the place was clean. Pretty easy to find things. Not too crowded. In my opinion they had the intermission kind of early though and they should really consider making tickets refundable. (Source)

Metro Music Hall Reviews:

  • I loved the space and the performers were amazing! I'd absolutely come back for another show at this venue! The only thing that kinda sucked was there was no food except in a vending machine that wasn't working. On the plus side, that meant one drink was definitely enough! Be sure to eat a meal beforehand or bring your own snacks (if you're allowed to... I'm not sure what their rules are on this).
  • The place is fun and edgy. Loved decor. Sound system was awesome. Classic Jack played tonight with other great bands. Very entertaining!
  • Great little venue and vibe. Love places like this. I do a lot of shows around the country and this is a laid back easy experience. (Source)

Capitol Theatre Reviews:

  • Wonderful productions here by Ballet West. Talented dancers, beautiful scenery, and moving performances. Capitol Theatre is a nice building with pretty chandeliers, comfortable seating, and restrooms on each floor. Concessions available. Staff friendly and efficient. Some street parking available or public parking garages on both sides of the street. (The parking garage right next to the theatre was $7 for evening performance, but very slow to leave, 30 mins+. Next time I will look for parking elsewhere).
  • My family and I had an wonderful time at the Nutcracker by the ballet here. It was a beautiful ballet down to the costumes and stage and it was accompanied by a well rehearsed orchestra that made the performance much more lively. I would recommend this show and this show house to all ages. It accommodates for young and old well. It also smelt nice inside, sort of like scones, which I though was interesting (nothing overwhelming). We loved attending the ballet this Christmas Eve!
  • Beautiful old theater. Seats are small but plush. Not a lot of elbow room. Easy access to many of the seats because of the aisleways and entry/exit points. (Source)

Liquid Joe's Reviews:

  • The bartender that looks like Guy Fieri is cool and he knows a lot of nifty tricks. :)
  • I loved the cover bands! It is awesome that a local venue would give a shot to up and coming bands. The atmosphere was nice and I dug the look. The outside reminds me of the bar in the movie Fight Club. However I couldn’t find the basement entrance so I can not confirm any fight clubs.
  • Got dragged here by some friends to watch Spazmatics. The place itself was great. Pool, darts and cheap beer. The 80s great to listen to, but super odd watching people when you're sober😅. Had a great time overall regardless of people complaining of the chain music industry. Just pay the $7 and have a good time. Needs food though. Like some nachos or at least somewhere to walk to nearby. (Source)

  • I really do love this venue and the people who run it and all the employees that help make things function. Love the sound. Never disappointed by shows here.
  • Venue was clean and the staff were friendly. The sound was excellent. All around a good venue for a small show.
  • Loved this venue. Saw Matisyahu Nov. 30 and was blown away. The PA system is exquisite. I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced cleaner sound in over 25 years of attending concerts. The bar was solid and access was strait forward. I look forward to future concerts and events here. (Source)
