Recently, bassist Jeff Matz teased fans with a snapshot of himself holding two test pressings of the upcoming album. This tantalizing glimpse suggests that the final product will soon be available to the public. Matz has expressed his enthusiasm for the new album, assuring fans that it will be a remarkable follow-up to their 2018 hit, 'Electric Messiah.'
In Matz's own words: "The vinyl test press of the new High On Fire album sounds incredible. Kurt Ballou and Alan Douches have played a pivotal role in crafting this sonically impressive work. I am thrilled for everyone to experience it."
The upcoming album is notable for featuring drummer Coady Willis, marking his first appearance with High On Fire since replacing Des Kensel in 2019. The band and fans alike are buzzing with anticipation over the dynamic that Willis brings to this yet-to-be-named album.
In conjunction with their new album, High On Fire has also announced an expansive European and U.K. tour set for this summer. The tour is a staple for American bands, especially when coinciding with new releases.
The tour is set to commence on June 4 in Brno, Czechia, and will conclude on July 6 in Vienna, Austria. The band will visit numerous countries including Spain, France, Denmark, and Germany, among others, showcasing their latest work across the continent.
