Ayşe Ajda Pekkan is a prominent Turkish pop singer and actress, widely known by her nickname "Superstar". Emerging in the 1960s, she initially began her career as an actress appearing in nearly 50 films before transitioning fully into a highly successful musical career. With over 15 million records sold in Turkey and over 30 million worldwide, she stands as one of the best-selling Turkish musical artists of all time. Representing Turkey in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, Pekkan has recorded songs in multiple languages and holds the prestigious title of "State Artist" in her home country.
