Formed in 1975 by Francis Thorne and Dennis Russell Davies, the New York-based American Composers Orchestra is dedicated exclusively to performing and creating music by American composers. The ensemble has given over 100 world premieres, recorded more than 30 albums, and collaborated with renowned artists like Leonard Bernstein and Itzhak Perlman.
