About American Composers Orchestra

New York City-based American Composers Orchestra, founded in 1977 by Dennis Russell Davies and Francis Thorne, is dedicated to American music. It moved to Carnegie Hall in 1985–87, won 19 ASCAP awards, and its commissions include two Pulitzer winners.
