Born in Estevan, Ana Egge grew up in Ambrose, ND. She moved to Austin in 1994, influenced by her nomadic, artistic family. Known for her vivid songwriting, she won the 1995 Village Voyage Songwriter Search, collaborated with Grammy-winner Shawn Colvin, and debuted with "River Under the Road" in 1997.
