Anja Huwe, singer of post-punk forerunners Xmal Deutschland, released four albums on labels including 4AD before leaving music for a visual art career. She returned from a decades-long hiatus, recording the album Codes in Berlin with Mona Mur and Xmal guitarist Manuela Rickers.
