Ann Patchett, an acclaimed American author born in Los Angeles and raised in Nashville, is known for her compelling novels exploring human relationships. Her celebrated works include the award-winning Bel Canto (PEN/Faulkner, Orange Prize), Pulitzer finalist The Dutch House, and Tom Lake. A recipient of the National Humanities Medal and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, she also co-founded Parnassus Books.
