Badlands, led by ex-Ozzy guitarist Jake E. Lee and former Black Sabbath singer Ray Gillen, blended bluesy hard rock with '70s vibes. Known for albums like "Badlands" and "Voodoo Highway", they gained respect but limited commercial success. Drummer Eric Singer left for KISS; Gillen died in 1993. Their gritty sound set them apart in the late '80s hair metal scene.
