The Balkans are an Atlanta-suburbs band formed in 2008 while still in high school. Known for infectious pop-weirdness and frenetic punk energy, they opened for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Jay Reatard, and Atlas Sound, then went on hiatus in 2011.
