Formed in Grifton, NC in 1967 as the Avengers, Band of Oz became a long-running East Coast beach music/R&B band. Their 1978 debut single "Shaggin'" led to albums including Keep Keepin' It Up and Let It Roll; "Shama Lama Ding Dong" won a Cammy Award.
