Formed in 1972 in Kingston’s Waterhouse district, Jamaica’s Black Uhuru became a leading second-generation reggae band. Led by Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, they won a Grammy for 1983’s Anthem and later released 2001’s Dynasty.
