Formed in 1978 in the East Bay Area, Blind Illusion, led by Mark Biederman, became a seminal thrash metal band. Notable members included Larry LaLonde and Les Claypool, who later joined Primus. Their album "The Sane Asylum" is a technical thrash staple. They've reformed with Doug Piercy and Andy Galeon for tours.
