Sweden’s Bohuslän Big Band traces roots to the early 1800s as the Bohus Battalion military orchestra. Since the mid-1950s, it’s been one of Sweden’s only two fully professional big bands, spanning swing to avant-garde jazz and collaborating with Quincy Jones and Danilo Pérez; Grammy-nominated for Lumen (2026).
