Castle is an American heavy metal and doom metal band formed in San Francisco, California, in 2009 by guitarist Mat Davis and vocalist/bassist Liz Blackwell. Known for their classic riff-heavy sound and relentless touring schedule across multiple continents, the band debuted with their 2011 album In Witch Order. Signed to labels such as Prosthetic Records and Hammerheart Records, their subsequent releases include Blacklands, Under Siege, Welcome to the Graveyard, and Evil Remains, showcasing a stripped-down blend of traditional heavy metal, doom, and stoner rock.
