Founded in 1981 by young musicians from the European Community Youth Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe is acclaimed for collaborations with legendary conductors like Abbado and Harnoncourt. Known for Beethoven symphonies and over 250 recordings, it has won two Grammys and three Gramophone Awards. The COE performs across top European festivals and halls and is orchestra-in-residence at Kronberg Academy and Esterhazy Palace.
