Culture, a seminal Rastafarian roots reggae trio, was led by charismatic singer Joseph Hill. Originating from Linstead, Jamaica, they delivered intense spiritual, social, and political messages comparable to icons like Burning Spear. Known for their 1977 debut album "Two Sevens Clash," a roots reggae landmark, the group captured audiences in Jamaica and the UK amidst the punk movement. After Hill's 2006 passing, his son Kenyatta led the group, keeping their powerful protest legacy alive, while also pursuing a solo career with albums like 2011's "Live On: Tribute to Culture."
