Dutch band Daryll-Ann formed in Ermelo, playing together since 1988. Led by songwriters Jelle Paulusma and Anne Soldaat, they mixed West Coast-inspired pop with melancholy hooks. Released Renko, Seaborne West and landmark Daryll-Ann Weeps; 1999’s Happy Traum was named best Dutch alternative album of the year.
