De Kift, een poëtische fanfare-punkband opgericht in 1988, combineert wereldliteratuur met muziek. Bekend om hun energieke shows en unieke sound, hebben ze 12 studioalbums uitgebracht. Frontman Ferry Heijne, samen met neef Pim en broer Marco, levert bijdragen in zang en instrumenten. Drummer Wim ter Weele is mede-oprichter en artistiek leider, verantwoordelijk voor decorontwerpen. De band treedt op wereldwijd en maakt muziek voor films en theaterprojecten.
