Diary of Dreams, a German darkwave project founded in Düsseldorf by Adrian Hates in 1989, crafts melancholic, poetic music spanning gothic rock, electro-industrial, and orchestral styles. Hates, a classically trained musician, is known for introspective compositions and profound lyrics. Albums like "Under a Timeless Spell" (2024, with Philharmonie Leipzig) exemplify their evolving sound. "She and Her Darkness" is a popular song. They have a dedicated international following.
